Whereas most other companies simply run an 8 track player through a computer (thereby transferring the hiss and noise with the music), I have a full recording studio with digital AND analog processing equipment. Many services have computer software to reduce noise and enhance the music but, frankly, I never use it because outboard analog equipment sounds so much better and preserves the original texture, flavor and ambiance of older music. But the trick is knowing how to use and set up the recording equipment. Being a certified audio technician and a professional Avionics technician, I work on complex circuits and elaborate systems every day of my life. Monday through Friday, I keep planes flying safely.
